On August 28, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., detectives assigned to the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force arrested 25-year-old Yevgeniy Igorevich Maslov (12-10-83) on the federal charges of receipt and possession of child pornography. Maslov was taken into custody at his home which is located in the 1400 block of Kingswood Drive in Roseville.
In December of 2008, Maslov was identified by ICAC detectives as someone who had received child pornography over the internet. A federal search warrant for the suspect’s residence was later obtained and subsequently served on February 3, 2009. Maslov’s computer was seized during the search of his residence. During the forensic examination of his computer, Maslov was found to have received hundreds of photographs and videos depicting child pornography.
On August 27, 2009, the federal grand jury handed down an indictment charging Maslov with possession of child pornography. Maslov was booked into custody at the Federal Court House following his arrest.
The Internet Crimes Against Children task force is comprised of federal, state and local law enforcement investigators and managed by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department. The task force was founded in 1998. It was formed to help state and local law enforcement agencies develop an effective response to online enticement and child pornography cases. The task force encompasses forensic and investigative components, training and technical assistance components, victim services, and community education
