James E. Miller, former town engineer for Stoughton, pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in superior court on July 14 to one count of felony possession of child pornography.
A hearing concerning non-evidentiary motions has been scheduled to take place on Oct. 29. A hearing regarding motions to suppress evidence will be held on Dec. 8, according to court records.
Miller, 62, of Seekonk, was Stoughton’s town engineer for 11 years until a routine diagnostic found inappropriate material on his computer at work in January 2008. He resigned a month later.
Miller was arraigned on the charge in Stoughton District Court. The case was later turned over to superior court for further action.
