Michael Moon Sentenced to 20 years for Possession of Child Porn at the Airport


Michael Moon, 40, of Medina, was sentenced today to 20 years in prison for trying to fly out of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport with 46 photographs of child pornography in his checked luggage.

Moon pleaded guilty to four counts of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor, 46 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material and two counts of possessing criminal tools. Moon was arrested July 29 at the airport, Assistant Prosecutor Jesse Canonico said.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Kathleen Ann Sutula also labeled Moon a sexual offender who will have to register his home and work addresses with a sheriff's office every 180 days for 25 years.
