Matthew Toomath Arrested for Possession of Child Porn


A prominent businessman in Oneida was arrested today and charged with one count of promoting child pornography and two counts of possessing child pornography.

Matthew Toomath was arrested today and charged with one count of promoting child pornography and two counts of possessing child pornography, troopers said.State police in Oneida say Matthew Toomath, 38, of 325 N. Main St., is the owner of Ye Olde Pizza Pub and a member of the the board of directors of the Oneida Chamber of Commerce. He is also on the board at St. Patrick's School in Oneida. Toomath owns The Pizzeria in Morrisville.

Police say Toomath possessed and promoted images and videos of children as young as 5 engaged in sexual acts with adults and animals. Toomath was arraigned tonight in Oneida City Court and held on $25,000 bail. He is to appear back in court next Friday.

More charges against Toomath may be coming, according to Trooper Jack Keller. Keller said Toomath's arrest comes after a six-month undercover investigation.
