OMAHA, Neb.
Omaha police say a man pistol-whipped his girlfriend, then hit her three-year-old son in the face with the gun after an argument in a northwest Omaha apartment Friday afternoon.
The child was taken by rescue squad to an Omaha hospital with a head injury, but it was not believed the child was critically hurt. The child had a cut under one eye. The woman refused treatment at the scene.
Police were called to an apartment complex at 5307 N. 110th Plaza shortly after 4 p.m.
The man had left the scene before police arrived.
