A police medical technician on Long Island has been accused of transmitting sexual material online to an undercover officer posing as a 13-year-old.
Howard Goldstein, who's 38, was charged with attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor and attempted endangering the welfare of a child. The advanced medical technician with the Nassau County police department was arrested Wednesday.
Police say he also attempted to induce the minor to move in with him. The 'minor" was an investigator for state police in Albany.
Goldstein pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday. Bail was set at $82,500. He was represented by an attorney for Legal Aid, which has a policy of not commenting on pending cases.
