Robert Sullivan Arrested for Sexual Assault

A Fremont man was indicted by a Sullivan County grand jury on a number of sex charges relating to the alleged abuse of a child.

Robert Sullivan, Sr., 62, was charged with predatory sexual assault of a child, criminal sexual act in the first degree, rape in the first degree, and three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree. The indictment alleges that Sullivan had sexual contact with the child when she was six year old.

Sullivan was arrested after an investigation by the Sullivan County Family Violence Response Team and the State Police.

Under state law, on the predatory sexual assault charges, Sullivan faces 10 to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
