Robert Guay Accused of Molesting Boys

A local man is accused of repeatedly molesting two pre-teen boys who he regularly babysat for more than two years.

Robert M. Guay, 47, of 48 Pennichuck St., was arrested Tuesday and charged with nine counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, class A felonies.

Lt. Jeffrey Bukunt said investigators do not believe there are additional victims in this case. Guay was an acquaintance of both families and regularly provided childcare for the boys, who are under the age of 13, Bukunt said.

The investigation began in early August when the mother contacted police after observing inappropriate contact between Guay and her son, according to police.

Bukunt said the assaults happened at three different addresses in the city between March 2007 and August 2009.Guay is accused of assaulting one boy four times and the other, three times. Additionally, he is charged with one count each of aggravated felonious sexual assault charging a pattern involving each child.

He is being held on $250,000 cash/surety bail and will be arraigned later today in Nashua District Court.
