Andre Williams Sentenced to 8 years for Sexually Abusing 9-year-old

A Gloversville man accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl over a three-year period was sentenced today in Fulton County Court to a prison term of eight years.

Andre R. Williams, 29, of Homestead Drive was sentenced by Judge Polly A. Hoye on the basis of his May 19 guilty plea to one count of first-degree criminal sex act.

Williams will also serve eight years of post-release supervision.

Police arrested Williams on Feb. 12 for incidents that occurred from 2003-06.

He was indicted April 8 on seven counts, including three of first-degree criminal sexual act; predatory sexual assault against a child, course of sexual conduct against a child and endangering.
